Mixed Media on Canvas

This painting is one of my biggest art undertakings. It's 40 x 30. I started out by pasting crinkled tissue paper onto the canvas for texture and then pouring liquid acrylic onto the canvas to get some abstraction going. This was physically challenging with such a large canvas. Eventually, I saw hydrangeas wanting to emerge and brought them out with additional painting. After developing a large part of the painting in acrylic, I switched to oil to finish it with more color intensity.
