Hydrangeas are one of my favorite flowers, and happily, they grow readily in British Columbia. I have grown many in my garden. This painting was created by gluing crinkled tissue paper onto a canvas board and then pouring liquid acrylics until the forms of hydrangeas seemed to emerge. Then, I added brush strokes to define the flowers. This painting is now owned by one of my dearest friends. Her children purchased it for her as a birthday gift.
