This is part of a series of umbrella paintings. One day while sitting on the beach in Puerto Vallarta, I was struck by two things: how beautiful the umbrellas were, and how their various positions could be used as a metaphor for feelings and relationships. This small group of umbrellas grouped against a grey sky is more like the umbrellas in British Columbia. It's called Stormy Times.
